I Personally Remember and Honor

Some WWII service medals from my Uncle Max. Many of my family have served and are still serving proudly in various New Zealand Armed Forces. My late father lost two fingers while serving as an artilleryman in WWII, and he was buried with his medals and paybook, as he requested. On his right forearm was tattooed, "Death Before Dishonour," and he lived by that code.  Posted by Hello

OCM, I think the character "Spike" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer said it best: "The history of the world is NOT about making friends." I doubt that will ever change until we all face a greater, common threat, and even then I'm not so sure. Somebody would make a deal with *that* enemy to save themselves and screw the rest of us!!! LOL!!!
