Muslims Murder Christians in Indonesia

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population of any country in the world. The Christians are a very small minority there, so the Muslims can't complain about "persecution" where they are the clear majority. What's their problem? They can't get along with their Christian neighbors, or anybody else who doesn't believe as they do. So they kill them. What else is new?
JAKARTA (Reuters) - Two bomb blasts ripped through a crowded market in a Christian town in eastern Indonesia on Saturday, killing 19 people in an attack likely to raise fears sectarian bloodshed could again break out in the region.
Police said the attacks occured in the lakeside town of Tentena, on the eastern island of Sulawesi, part of an area where three years of Muslim-Christian clashes killed 2,000 people until a peace deal was agreed in late 2001.
How quickly they forget where most of the relief effort came from following the Boxing Day tsunami.
Hint: It didn't come from their Muslim brethren.

We need another tsunami.

Rock Trivia

Take the rock trivia quiz and relax for a few minutes. The last few have been easy. This one will hopefully stump you. I'll be nice, though. Read the lyrics below, and name the band and album in which they appear; if you know the song that would be nice, too. Here's a hint: The band began in Britain and it was a double LP. Here are the lyrics:
I'd rather trust a country man than a town man,
You can judge by his eyes, take a look if you can,
He'll smile through his guard,
Survival trains hard.

I'd rather trust a man who works with his hands,
He looks at you once, you know he understands,
Don't need any shield,
When you're out in the field.

Feature Car of the Week: 1968 Hemi Dart

It's Memorial Day weekend, so it's only fitting that we feature an all-American car. And it doesn't get any more all-American that the Dodge Hemi Dart. These cars were true factory drag racers, specially prepared for one thing only: doing battle in the NHRA Super Stock drag wars of the 60's. Combining light weight - near paper-thin, acid-dipped bodies, virtually no interior, and plastic windows all contributed to reducing overall weight to around 2400 lbs - and roughly 600 horsepower from the prepped 426cid Hemi engines, these cars were brutally quick, producing quarter-mile times in the mid 10-second range at trap speeds over 130 MPH. This car defines true American muscle! Read more about it here.

Son of Minn. State Lawmaker Killed in Iraq

In memorium, Chief Warrant Officer Matt Lourey.

Kitchen Knives Can Inflict Appalling Wounds

No kidding. Some doctors in Britain have the solution: "A&E doctors are calling for a ban on long pointed kitchen knives to reduce deaths from stabbing."
A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.
Dumb shits! They admit "prompted by alcohol and drugs." Ever thought maybe that's the problem? You ass-wipes!!! Nope, ban the knife, which, most of the time, in the hands of mostly sane individuals, is used for its intended purpose that does not include killing people. These liberal clowns and their ultra-tolerance...They talk about the US and all the crime because of guns. Piffle. Can you imagine if guns were legal in Britain? With all the violent crime they have without guns, it would be a blood bath. They have a lot of cracked-out people who will commit acts of violence using whatever they have available.

When will these liberal lawmakers understand that will always be the case no matter what is banned? People will always look for the nearest available weapon, and if that is banned, they'll look for the next best thing. And that goes to make my point. It's not the guns or the knives or whatever. It comes down to people (most of the time on alcohol or other drugs), not objects, that commit crimes.

What Military Aircraft Are You?

F-15 Eagle
You are an F-15. Your record in combat is spotless; you've never been defeated. You possess good looks, but are not flashy about it. You prefer to let your reputation do the talking. You are fast, agile, and loud, but reaching the end of your stardom.
I found this neat little quiz over at Tyler D's blog, 45-Caliber Justice. I found out I'm an F-15 Eagle. Cool! I'll take it!

Just say "NO!" to Oprah

I have long known that Oprah was a raging moonbat. Now she is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Vilmar has a good piece on what this twat is up to. Go read it!

Good News, But Why Are They Telling Us About It?

BAGHDAD, Iraq -
Iraq announced plans Thursday to deploy 40,000 police and soldiers in the capital and ring the city with hundreds of checkpoints "like a bracelet"...
Great news. Why are they (the Iraqui government) telling us about it? Strategically, it is never wise to give-up the element of surprise...unless you're up to something else...or simply not too bright. I hope it's the former and not the latter.

You'll notice, too, that the story dwells ad nauseum about the Army helicopter crash. It has very little to do with this new operation about to get under way, but the good 'ol MSM just can't resist some subtle gloating, traitorous bastards that they are.

Welcome Back OCM

OCMs ancestral home, the native Stoney Indians.

Alberta:

The native Stoney Indians called Lake Louise the "Lake of Little Fishes," though it officially earned its modern title in 1884 in honor of Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, one of Queen Victoria’s daughters. Today the lake is one of Canada’s most admired sights, with active options like canoeing and hiking a natural boon in the stunning scenic surrounds.

Balanced Coverage?

Got this one from our contributor, David, aka DR@HDfixit. Comments in bold are his:

Heard this one this morning. Had a hard time finding it as you can guess. It will be buried and never spoken of again:
From Times Staff and Wire Reports

May 25, 2005

Seven known black gang members have been arrested on suspicion of beating and shouting racial slurs at two white men who had left the Compton courthouse, sheriff's officials said Tuesday.

The two, who are brothers, told deputies they were walking to their car Monday in a residential neighborhood when they were confronted by about 15 males shouting gang monikers and racial slurs, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. James Hellmold said. The brothers, ages 34 and 41, had cuts and bruises around their head, face and arms, and one said he was hit on the back of his head with a blunt instrument, Hellmold said.
That's it. The whole story. What do you think the press would do if it was two black brothers and 15 white males?
***************************************
It would be national news.

This Man Has NO BALLS!!!

Remember when Arnold referred to some of his colleagues in government as "girlie men?" This weeping ass-clown, Senator "Boy George" Voinovich (R-Ohio), is living proof. Go to RadioBlogger to listen to the MP3 of him bawling and blithering over the Bolton nomination. Do you think that this type of public behavior on the floor of the US Senate strikes fear into the hearts of our terrorist enemies around the world when they hear it? Forget the beef...where's THE BALLS? Sounds like George's haven't dropped yet.

The guy/gal(?) at this moonbat site doesn't see it that way. Like "Boy George" Voinovich, he sees the Bolton nomination as detrimental to our foreign relations, and "Boy George" V. as actually having courage for his dissent:
...for those of us who are seriously concerned about Bolton becoming the next ambassador to the UN, we should be encouraging Voinovich’s most recent act of dissention.

Commentary: "Global Values" WTF???

Amnesty International in a 308 page report has branded and the ACLU has accused the USA of: Assaulting "Global Values," the "Gulag" of our time. The Gulag title came about with Stalin's 400 concentration camps, possible deaths in these camps approximately 20 million. These wingnut groups using this analogy to describe the US are in essence just giving misleading, misinformed, "righteous" fuel for terrorists and Leftists to burn and ignite further hatred toward the US and her troops. To be fair, though, they do mention other countries in their press release:
At a national level governments betrayed human rights at terrible cost to ordinary people. Russian soldiers reportedly tortured, raped and sexually abused Chechen women with impunity.
**Addendum** Note how they use the word "reportedly," no mention of "by whom." No mention of Muslim Chechen rebel terrorists taking small school children hostage, starving them, not allowing them to use restrooms, making them drink their own urine, sexually abusing them - and then shooting them in the back when they had a chance to escape - we KNOW that happened.

They do, however, tersely mention the government of "Mad Bob" Mugabe:
Zimbabwe’s government manipulated food shortages for political reasons.
"Manipulated food shortages?" How about "seized private land that was productive and then did nothing with it, causing food shortages?" How anybody can take this group seriously is beyond me.

WTF are "Global Values"???

Is it that the US is attempting to maintain human rights regardless of the flack being directed at them by the MSM, ACLU and others? Amnesty International states "maltreatment" of Gitmo detainees and cite as examples hunger strikes and "sexual assault" from a female guard fondling a male detainee's genitals. Are these "Global Values," a major human rights issue? At best the prisoners choose to starve themselves and can start eating at anytime, and a male being fondled by a woman guard (if true) may not be appropriate but can hardly be considered an assault on "Global Values" - whatever those are.

What's misleading about the report is that they don't distinguish between civilian crime statistics and acts carried out as a matter of government policy. Example: AI's claim of Australia having a high rate of domestic beatings is also factored into their human rights violation figures of what they refer to as an assault on "Global Values." I am not aware that domestic violence is an abuse conducted directly as a matter of Australian government policy, so to include figures such as those alongside statistics of hangings and beheadings that ARE a matter of government policy in Iran is as ludicrous as it is dishonest.

What are"Global Values?": Religious intolerance? terrorism? genocide? forced starvation? moral equivalence? seizure of private property as a matter of nationalization reform? and an apathetic blind eye turned to all? - yeah, maybe we ARE against "Global Values." If these detainees should be treated in accord with those "Global Values" then they are being treated with a greater respect than they deserve.

All prisoners kept by the US in Gitmo and other camps are actual or very reasonably suspected terrorists, most of whom were captured on the battlefield in Afghanistan directly involved with the Taliban in actions against coalition troops or individuals that have admitted that they support or have ties with the Taliban or al Qaeda or other terrorist groups. They do not represent any particular government or nation, but rather an ideology, so they are not prisoners of war in the traditional sense. They are guerilla thugs engaging in war-like acts, however - acts of terror and violence specifically targeting and directed at mainly innocent civilians (and often against our troops), yet groups like Amnesiac Insertion and the American Criminal Liberation Union would have them treated like they were guests in somebody's home.

Terrorists or "enemy combatants" do not warrant the respect due an enemy soldier fighting in a uniform, honorably and openly for their country. An example that comes to mind is the tremendous respect that developed between many of the Kiwis and Aussies and their Turkish opponents during the horrific struggle at Gallipoli where tens of thousands of lives were lost. The Commonwealth and Turkish troops were often only a few meters apart for days and weeks at a time in the trenches there. For the most part, both sides treated each other's wounded and captured with respect and dignity because they both fought with bravery and honor. The same can hardly be said for the scum being held at Gitmo or Grab-an-Arab.

In essence Amnesty International is stating that the US is the terrorist. The ACLU is stating that the US government is turning a blind eye to detainees and some of the detainees alleged abuse, along with the alleged abuse of the Holy Koran. Yet the ACLU does not have a problem with the American flag being burned or treated with disrespect.

Ask yourself how many people are going to die now with further rioting and protesting? Ask yourself, why is it the Islamic faithful are the only ones to react with murder for the alleged abuses to the Koran when they (Islamics) have for centuries desecrated and destroyed many religious icons of different faiths? How did the respect for the Koran become a "Global Value?"

The worst the US can be blamed for is individual Americans committing violations against a few, but that is NOT the US Government performing atrocities against the masses. The US is not perfect; it is not Utopia, but unlike much of the rest of the world, we usually do a pretty good job of policing ourselves, as well as police them.

The easiest way to avoid criticism is to do absolutely nothing while criticizing others who ARE doing something - another "Global Value" we don't need.

**UPDATE**
The Washington Post has a story from the AP that makes this halfhearted attempt at describing Stalin's gulags, making sure they mention that the gulags were a holdover from the deposed czarist regime, deflecting some culpability from the Communists, another word they chose not to use. Note "thousands" is used instead of "millions." To be accurate and state "millions" would make their analogy that much more fellacious. They also don't mention how many were simply executed en masse.
The use of the term gulag refers to the extensive system of prison camps in the former Soviet Union, many in remote regions of Siberia and specifically designed to hold political prisoners. The Soviets took over the system from the czarist government and expanded it after the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. Untold thousands of prisoners of the so-called gulags died from hunger, cold, harsh treatment and overwork.
Certainly, though, we know the poor detainees aren't freezing to death in Cuba...

Nothing Half Finished

"The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started."

So I looked around my house to see all the things I had started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning I finished off the last 3 bottles in a six pack, a bottle of Bailey's, a bottle of Kahlua, a package of Oreos, the remainder of both Prozac and Vicodin prescriptions, the rest of the cheesecake, some saltines and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

Runaway Bride Indicted

A picture is said to be worth a thousand words. Only one word necessary here: PSYCHO.

Remember Jennifer Wilbanks, the so-called "runaway bride" who supposedly got cold feet right before her wedding and took-off from her home town in Duluth, GA and later phoned police from New Mexico saying she'd been kidnapped? I'm not going into all the details because I just don't think it's all that important in the grand scheme of things. However, she did make a FALSE police report which diverted all kinds of REAL resources, so she has now been indicted:
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks was indicted Wednesday on two charges of lying to police about being kidnapped — counts that could mean up to six years in prison.
The 32-year-old woman faces one felony count making of false statement and one misdemeanor count of making a false police report.
Give her the max; consequences for actions. Period, end of story. Take a look at the photo. I swear, every picture of this woman with her bugged-out eyes and dilated pupils leaves me with the same conclusion: PSYCHO!!!

Paying the Ultimate Price

Posted the following article up date from American Daughter: Iran - Defiant
From historic times, the Persian people have celebrated the arrival of the New Year with bonfires. This popular custom is a remainder from the native Zoroastrian faith that was crushed when the Muslim invaders imposed their own religion on the defeated country.

As the traditional Zoroastrian New Year approached, Dr. Yazdi called on the people of Iran to conduct massive peaceful demonstrations by practicing their ancient custom.

The predictable harsh response from the ruling theocracy came swiftly. By Sunday, March 20, celebrants were being shackled and lashed..

...and hanged in Tehran.

A Different View from Iraq

This is what the troops see as acheivements in Iraq. Far from the images depicted by the MSM, aren't they? A must view... and here a previous article from Who's Your Baghdaddy?

Who Is Funding The Terrorists

For something a little different to inspire thought....

A New Front in Financial War on Terror
The federal government has made the interdiction of terrorist financing a top priority. This should come as no surprise since terrorists, like any organization, require safe harbor, logistic support and funding to train, coordinate and obtain weapons. To date, however, the U.S. government says it has been able to seize a total of only $132 million in terrorist finances.

For a refresher on the Islamic nuts here are some of the named terrorist groups:
Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Hezbollah, and let us not forget al Qaeda.

Latest Round Of UN Meddling

United Nations:
The United Nations tribunal investigating the 1994 mass killings in Rwanda today reduced the life sentence of a Hutu militia leader convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity and incitement to 45 years in prison because it found his rights had been violated during his arrest and detention before trial.

Syrian Forces Verifiably Withdrawn From Lebanon:

The United Nations verification mission sent to ensure that Syrian troops, military assets and its intelligence apparatus have fully withdrawn from Lebanon has reported that they pulled out of all areas, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said today.

then this statement, is it that the Syrians have left this area or they are also unsure whether they should insist that they do? Until the matter of whose land it is, is decided.
On the question of a small area of Lebanon or Syria called Dar el Achaer, he said, "We have verified all the withdrawals, including the border area. But as I said, there was a question of who has that territory."

The border has not been fully demarcated and there are conflicting claims as to whether that territory is in Lebanon or Syria, Mr. Annan said.
..confused???

Give 'Em Hell, Zell in an Online Interview

On May 16, Senator Zell Miller was interviewed via email by some of the bigger blogs like Captain's Quarters, Red State Rant, Blackfive, Polipundit, Wizbang and others (all available in one of our blog rolls on the right). Go read the first part here. We need more straight shooters like Senator Miller in government. Too bad he's not seeking re-election.

Why He Left: A Former Leftist in his Own Words

Leaving the left / I can no longer abide the simpering voices of self-styled progressives -- people who once championed solidarity:
Read the whole thing. The man provides great insight to the insanity of the Left. Here are a few choice passages from the article:
  • These days the postmodern left demands that government and private institutions guarantee equality of outcomes. Any racial or gender 'disparities' are to be considered evidence of culpable bias, regardless of factors such as personal motivation, training, and skill. This goal is neither liberal nor progressive; but it is what the left has chosen. In a very real sense it may be the last card held by a movement increasingly ensnared in resentful questing for group-specific rights and the subordination of citizenship to group identity. There's a word for this: pathetic.

I smile when friends tell me I've 'moved right.' I laugh out loud at what now passes for progressive on the main lines of the cultural left.

  • My estrangement hasn't happened overnight. Out of the corner of my eye I watched what was coming for more than three decades, yet refused to truly see. Now it's all too obvious. Leading voices in America's "peace" movement are actually cheering against self-determination for a long-suffering Third World country because they hate George W. Bush more than they love freedom.
  • Stated simply: The force wielded by democracies in self-defense was declared morally equivalent to the nihilistic aggression perpetuated by Muslim fanatics.

Susan Sontag cleared her throat for the "courage" of the al Qaeda pilots. Norman Mailer pronounced the dead of Sept. 11 comparable to "automobile statistics." The events of that day were likely premeditated by the White House, Gore Vidal insinuated. Noam Chomsky insisted that al Qaeda at its most atrocious generated no terror greater than American foreign policy on a mediocre day.
  • Leftists who no longer speak of the duties of citizens, but only of the rights of clients, cannot be expected to grasp the importance (not least to our survival) of fostering in the Middle East the crucial developmental advances that gave rise to our own capacity for pluralism, self-reflection, and equality. A left averse to making common cause with competent, self- determining individuals -- people who guide their lives on the basis of received values, everyday moral understandings, traditional wisdom, and plain common sense -- is a faction that deserves the marginalization it has pursued with such tenacity for so many years.

All of which is why I have come to believe, and gladly join with others who have discovered for themselves, that the single most important thing a genuinely liberal person can do now is walk away from the house the left has built. The renewal of any tradition that deserves the name "progressive" becomes more likely with each step in a better direction.

Report Urges Troops be Sent to the Border

This is good or bad, depending on how you look at it. It's bad because the report shows how totally screwed-up the Mexican border situation is:
"The tide of illegal crossings on the borders of the United States is beyond unsatisfactory; it is catastrophic. It does not ebb and flow — it only grows. It is rising without measure and eroding the very fiber of our safety, life and culture," the report said.

"As we wage the war on terror in foreign lands, we have all our doors and windows open at home. ... The insanity of such a policy, or silent toleration of such a policy is almost criminal in itself," it said.
It's good because it offers solutions to the problem, and that maybe there's hope. Maybe:

The deployment of 36,000 National Guard troops or state militia on the U.S.-Mexico border would stop the illegal flow of foreigners into America, says a congressional report that credits the Minuteman Project with proving that additional manpower could 'dramatically reduce if not virtually eliminate' illegal immigration.

Gee, ya think? They didn't need a report from a committee to confirm what millions of Americans already know. All they had to do was listen to us. Maybe, though, they issued this report because somebody besides Tom Tancredo finally DID listen. Now, the question is, will anybody act on the recommendations offered in this report? Only time will tell, but I'm not holding my breath. The final solution rests not in the hands of government, but in the hands of the American people, one way or another.

A Quick Note to Our Readers

Thank you for participating in our little venture here by stopping by and reading what we have to say, looking at the picures, or whatever. Even if you disagree with us, we don't care; thanks for coming by and throwing your virtual bombs. Just make sure you're packing more than a lunch. We're both from tough stock, and we can take whatever comes our way.

We're in the process of moving, so we'll be down for a few days this week until we get set-up. We'll try to post right up until the time we put the computer in a box. Check back often. We should be all set by the weekend...hopefully.

Almost 11:30...time for bed. We'll have more in the morning.

You Won't Believe This

The moonbats are circling, coming from everywhere now:

We hear even more serious accusations, such as Qurans being thrown to the floor, stepped on and even wrapped in an Israeli flag, all with the obvious intent of antagonizing the detainees.

Editor's Note: We are grateful to Mr. Falkoff for this exclusive interview with Vibes, despite the sensitivity of the issue. Here he has exposed, without reservation, new shocking reports of inhumane treatment that Guantanamo prisoners are subjected to. The American Press has yet to grasp the depth of the abuse.

Read the whole thing if you can. It's full of "allegations," "accusations," and "reports of," but NO FACTS!!! It's non-news that is supposed to make me feel pity for the lowest of the low, but just leaves me thinking, "Yeah, so what's the big deal?" This Leftist drivel is almost laughable except for the fact that so many people actually take pity on these prisoners and hold our interrogation practices in contempt. Look at this sample below. "Threatened" rape, ink used to fool a prisoner into thinking he was being smeared with menstrual blood - more of this "religious torture" that gives elevated status to Islam. It's called taking something a person holds near and dear to him and using it against him to get him to co-operate. Look at the language used to elicit an emotional response of sympathy for the prisoners and/or vague language:
I recently spoke with a Washington Post reporter about sexual abuse – including threatened rape – suffered by some of our clients. I described stories from two of them that to me are as much about religious as sexual abuse. One of our clients told me about a detainee who refused to talk during questioning by a female interrogator; according to the detainee, the female interrogator “punished” him by smearing what the detainee believed to be menstrual blood on his chest. When I first heard this story I did not credit it because it sounded so ludicrous. The day after my interview with the client, however, I learned from news reports that a former guard at Guantánamo will soon publish a book in which he acknowledges that precisely such tactics were used on detainees – although he explained that, unbeknownst to the detainees, the “blood” was in fact red ink.
Even if any of this is true, I just don't see a problem or why anybody needs to know about it. It's playing on some stupid bastard's 11th century superstitious bullshit to make him talk. So what? These fools on the Left have not a clue that those at Guantanamo are the worst of the worst - and the Lefties don't realize that these animals would cut their skrawny Leftist throats if given the chance. These prisoners are not entitled to any US Constitutional rights nor Geneva Convention standards. To insist that they are is pure insanity and constitutes giving aid and comfort to the enemy. This is the real world, people, not an episode of "Law and Order." I really feel there should be a black-out on all of this as people are not able to deal with the facts of a cold, hard world.

Quick Bytes

Here's some good news about Iraqis not afraid to fight for themselves,

Fighting Back:

You may remember Dhia Muhsin, a carpenter from the working-class Baghdad neighborhood of al-Dora, who became a celebrity of sorts back in March, when he stood up to insurgents who terrorized his area. In a firefight lasting half an hour Mushin and his nephews killed three of them and forced the rest to retreat.

***************************************
More good things about our troops that get swept under the rug because it doesn't fit the MSM agenda.

Soldiers save Iraqi family :

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The Iraqi woman had been in hiding with her children since her husband was pulled from his truck and shot in front of one of his sons.
This weekend they began a new life, brought to the United States with help from soldiers who had befriended the man and were tormented by the idea that their relationship contributed to his death.

***************************************
Interesting, but not surprising.

Attacks hit vital security in Iraq:

Iraq's insurgents are conducting increasingly sophisticated and lethal attacks on the private security companies that are crucial to the nation's reconstruction and the eventual departure of U.S. troops, contractors and U.S. officials say.

***************************************
A little history lesson for our moonbat cohorts.

CHOPPING HEADS - Amir Taheri - Benador Associates:

Islamic history is full of chopped heads being sent around by special delivery to reassure rulers, to terrorize foes and to impress the common folk. In 1821, the Qajar king of Persia ordered a week of celebrations when he received the severed head of a Russian general who had been captured in a battle near Baku. In 1842, the Afghans massacred the British garrison in Kabul, a total of 2,000 men and their wives and children, chopping off their heads and putting them on sticks to decorate the city. (They allowed one man to leave to report to the British.)

***************************************
We'll have to keep an eye on this.

Al-Qaeda gains Palestine foothold:
AL-QAEDA has established a foothold in Palestine with a new militant group based in Gaza formed by extremists who have become disillusioned with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Update on Image of Severed Heads

A MUST READ - entire articles linked to the severed head image. Nancy Matthis, Editor of American Daughter, kindly furnished us with correct links to the articles, and we have added this quote from her email to Bohemian Conservative:
We appreciate all of the efforts to share this story with the Blogosphere. The Iranian elections are three weeks away. If the freedom activists do anything most of the time they would be hanged or beheaded or suffer amputation or some other form of torture. But the international press will be in Iran for the elections, and so at that time it is likely that some will make their move, hoping that the mullahs will not commit atrocities in front of the media.

In the days leading up to the elections, I will be posting a series of graphic articles telling and showing what the mullahs are really like in Iran. While this material is too graphic for most blogs to want to post, I would deeply appreciate having the other bloggers link to it. The mainstream media is not telling this story, and it desparately needs to be told.

Please help spread the word if you feel you can.
We thank you, American Daughter, creativecommons.org and all others associated with the finding and true reporting of activities in the Middle East. Spread the word, everyone, as the material is freely available for use when you link to their sites and acknowledge the source.

Reality Check: WARNING!!! GRAPHIC PHOTOS!!!

It seems that the MSM, the moonbat Left, and other panty-waste apologists for the psychotic Muslims are confused about what "torture," "abuse," and barbaric "inexcusable crimes" are. Since words and reason don't seem to work too well with the Leftist traitors, and a picture is said to be worth a thousand words, we'll make it easy for them and use pictures. One photo represents barbaric, inhuman, "torture" and "abuse," and one represents at the worst "discomfort" or "humiliation." Can you tell the difference?:

Just in case you're having trouble, try again. One is barbarism, one is bad behavior. Which is which?:

Are we clear now?

White Farmers Give Mugabe the Finger

We just can't get enough of Robert "Mad Bob" Mugabe. This past weekend we brought you this story about how he and his government want the white farmers they once seized land from to return to Zimbabwe. Since Mugabe, in the typical Marxist practice of collective "nationalization," seized their land, nobody apparently knows how to grow anything on it. Well, it seems the white farmers aren't impressed, and they are giving Mugabe the big middle finger:
Greg McMurray, a tobacco farmer who fled Zimbabwe in 2001 and is now a grinder at a factory in Wiltshire, said: "These are empty promises. We have had all the assurances before and then they just turn around and change their minds.

"I had them coming into my garden and threatening my fiancée. Men with a bit of beer in their bellies told me, 'We'll come and burn you and your wife and your house'.

"I would love to go back but the economy's in ruins. The place is a shambles. So many professional people have left. It would need a new regime before most of us would think seriously about going back."
Good on 'em!

Commentary: Karzai is Upset...It's All OUR Fault...Again

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Sunday rejected U.S. criticisms of his antidrug efforts, called international help in the fight "half-hearted," and demanded justice for prisoners abused by U.S. troops.

Karzai, a staunch ally in the U.S.-led war against terrorism, said he will repeat his concern and anger over the prison abuses to the U.S. government and wants those responsible to be held accountable in a public trial.

"I will do this again. This is simply, simply not acceptable. We are angry about this. We want justice, we want the people responsible for this sort of brutal behavior punished and tried and made public," Karzai said on CNN.
You know, I've had it. I've had it with these people and their ungrateful bullshit. When will the Muslim world understand that it is their adherence to a 7th century belief system rooted in death, vengeance, and conquest that is their problem? Give the country back to them, and give them what they want. Let's see how long it takes the Taliban to regain power. By the way, nobody said diddly shit when the Taliban took power in Afghanistan and destroyed the Buddhist temples, so, to me, this is all sound and fury signifying nothing.

This asshat Karzai (whom I used to admire), even if he is under some political pressure from within his own ranks, apparently has forgotten what side of the bread gets buttered and who butters it. He even has the balls to blame everybody else for the rise in opium poppy production and heroin trade since his country was freed:
"What international money and creation of forces for the destruction of poppies was concerned, it was ineffective and delayed and half-hearted," Karzai said.

"We have done our job. Now the international community must do its job, period," he said.
And this French fuck from the UN wants to talk about what cannot be tolerated:
Jean Arnault, special representative of U.N. secretary-general Kofi Annan in Afghanistan, said on Sunday the reported abuse was unacceptable and an affront to everything the international community stood for.

"The gravity of these abuses calls for the punishment of all those involved in such inexcusable crimes, as demanded by President Karzai," Arnault said in a statement.
An "affront to everything the international community stands for?" He's joking, right? This is the same UN that has just confirmed Zimbabwe to a third term on the Human Rights Council; the same UN that had Libya at the head of that same Council; the same UN that took everything good that we did in Somalia and, upon assuming control of the region, let it go right to shit again; the same UN that stood by while hundreds of thousands were slaughtered in Rwanda and is allowing the same to happen now in the Sudan; the same UN that has allowed nearly 70 Serbian Orthodox Churches in Kosovo to be reduced to rubble by the Albanian Muslims under their watchful eye. Yeah, I'm really impressed with anything the UN has to say.

Mesaage to Jean: Fuck you and the French poodle you rode in on, pal.

No matter what the US does, it will never be good enough, so why bother? Oh yes, Karzai acknowledges that it's just a few bad apples and this alleged abuse should not reflect on the US as a whole, but who is he trying to kid? The US has become the big chunk of cheese for every little rat country to peck away at, piece by piece.

Methinks it's time to kill some rats.

**UPDATE** Well, well, it appears Karzai DOES know what side of the bread gets buttered and who butters it. This is quite a different tune than what he sang yesterday:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush and Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai signed a "strategic partnership" enabling long-term US involvement in Afghanistan's security as well as reconstruction.

"It's a partnership we have been working on for quite a while," Bush told reporters with Karzai by his side after their meeting at the White House.

Karzai also said that Afghanistan, the world's largest opium producer, hoped to slash poppy production by up to 30 percent this year by promoting alternative crops.

"Now if this trend continues, we'll have no poppies, hopefully, in Afghanistan in another five or six years," he said.

"That's a promise we have given to the world and to the Afghan people, and that's a promise that we will deliver on. Hold us accountable on that," he said.
I guess the tune changes depending on the audience.

Raikkonen and McLaren do it again - Finn untouchable as Williams score best result of 2005
With a dominant victory in Monte Carlo to match the one he took in Spain a fortnight ago, Kimi Raikkonen has moved up to second place in the drivers’ championship. The sheer margin of the Finn’s superiority - leading from his P1 grid spot all the way to the flag - will have struck further fear into the rest of the paddock.

Feature Car of the Week - My Dad's 1969 Chevrolet Corvette

This week's feature car is the 1969 Corvette, this one belonging to my father. My dad purchased the car from the original owner in 1975 when I took these photos. The car was originally equipped with the 350cid small block rated at 350hp, 380lb/ft of torque, but the first owner rebuilt it with ported "turbo" casting (the hot ticket, pre-Bow Tie) heads and a really lumpy solid roller cam resulting in 525hp and low 11-second quarter-mile times. I was with Dad on several occassions when he beat a 427 Vette, a 383 Charger, and a Porsche Turbo, to name a few, in "light to light" races. That motor has since been replaced by a relatively tame 440hp 350 we built some years back using most of the original parts like the crank, block, and heads. It's still plenty quick - ask the pin-head in the BMW M5 I smoked the last time I drove it!

Other goodies include a Holley 650cfm, mechanical secondary (double-pumper) carb on the original (but ported) Z-28 (Winters casting) dual-plane hi-rise manifold; Hooker headers; the Muncie M-22 "rock crusher" 4-speed transmission; Posi-traction rear end with 4.11:1 gears; and 4 wheel disc brakes with the hot (for the day) suspension option, all (except the carb and headers) factory ordered. The car only has an AM radio and heat, with no power brakes or steering. Dad still has the car and drives it regularly on weekends and such.

Lets All Hug A Tree and Useless Info

Many Find Price of Going Green Too High, geez, you don't say!!! Who doesn't know that conforming to that brigade of Greenies costs an arm and a leg? It makes me laugh when I see the extreme Greenies, wrapping themselves around tree trunks and generally cryng out the evil of oil/petrol. Ever notice how they arrive at their destination? Not on push bikes that's for sure. Nope, usually their usual transport - a gas-guzzling combi van (SUV) spewing smoke. To me, if a person is so dedicated to a cause he/she should adhere to their principles' on all occasions and walk the walk. Believe me, I have never witnessed them walking to a protest; maybe in England it is different, but I doubt it. Guaranteed, the ones that do walk, are the ones living in cities, buying their organic foods from the local store. I am laughing here imagining these city dwellers in paddocks collecting cow, horse or chicken manure , or grinding blood and bone mixtures for their gardens.

A poll of 1,000 adults revealed that almost half believed green products were too expensive, while almost as many said being green was too time-consuming.

Insurer Brings Home Subsidence Risk to Tree-Lovers. Although our country is basically unspoilt compared to many others, we have the tendancy to overplant our sections, which in many instances, as the years pass, damages the water lines, house foundations, sewerage lines etc, from the root systems of trees. And the worse thing it is not usually your own trees that are the culprits but the ones the neighbour has planted for privacy along the boundary line. However, to take the advice of this article you would have to have a home on a very substantial piece of property to adhere to their guidelines, I have no idea why they just don't stipulate, sorry after 2005, if you have planted these types of trees and damage occurs, we will not pay.
Garden-lovers are putting their homes at risk from subsidence by planting trees too close to their property, an insurer warned today.

One in five homeowners has either had a property that has suffered from subsidence or knows someone who has, with half of people having to pay more than £30,000 to fix the problem.

Bad Knee Ends Career of Spain's Only British Matador. I for one, have never understood this practice, let alone viewed it as a sport, so all I can say - he came out with a sore knee and the bulls died for a bit of bloodsport.

In the end, it was not a half-ton of snorting animal fury that has finished the career of Spain’s lone British bullfighter, or even his age.

After decades as a cultural oddity, a tireless quest for respect and duels with hundreds of horned beasts, Frank Evans, 62, has succumbed to a bum knee.

Zimbabwe farmer hint wins support, my favourite humanitarian, Mugabe, thinks that the land should be utilised and cultivated, dahhhh. Looks like all of his years as ruler equate to failure. He wanted the whites out, now needs whites back to make the land productive. Wow, he has learnt nothing from being in the UN, like how to educate, motivate and industrialise his people.; oh, I forgot he did learn their best lesson, how to rip off money from the rich and screw the poor.

White farmers still in Zimbabwe have welcomed a suggestion by the central bank chief that some white farmers who have left should be allowed back.

Great Religion Of Peace...More Muslim Madness

Read entire story here, dominate the world my ass. You know, I have mixed feelings when I see this kind of shit. Immediately I am struck with the image of the child - the only one not in a berka. I'm sickened by ANY groups that use children on the front lines of a demonstration - leave your kids at home, because anything they chant or say is merely a parroting of what the adults are saying. But knowing that so many Muslims feel this way, I say kill 'em all. Since they do not play by "the rules" I say it's time to disguise our troops as reporters and cameramen, and shoot these bastards wherever they turn up. The more frenzied they get, the more they will come out of the woodwork; and we just keep shooting them until there aren't any more left, or until they stop. Either way, I don't care. Kill them before they kill us. They have declared war on the US; let's give it to them, with some real shock and awe. How about a 10 meg nuke over Mecca?
The protest was organised by groups including the Muslim Council for Britain and the Muslim Parliamentary Association of the UK. Their protest follows fury in the Islamic world over the claims in a Newsweek magazine that US soldiers at Guantanamo Bay had abused the Koran.

Article here, If they attack the US again I hope to see a whole lot of Muslims disappear real fast. I see 20 or so here that could get an instant death sentence if the cameraman had an M-16 instead of a Nikon. Time to play cowboys and camel jockeys.
Led by a man on a megaphone, they chanted, "USA watch your back, Osama is coming back" and "Kill, kill USA, kill, kill George Bush". A small detail of police watched as they shouted: "Bomb, bomb New York" and "George Bush, you will pay, with your blood, with your head."
Jihadhi, to think, that the irresponsible reporting by the anti-American, MSM has given validity to this practice in the eyes of the Muslims.

Abu Usama al-Maghribi was a self-made jihadi. The owner of a fancy restaurant in Tangiers, in the north of Morocco, the 26-year-old left his country and wandered on his way to jihad until he was asked by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's al-Tawhid wal-Jihad organization to launch the second attack on the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad in September 2003.

Leprosy: Another Reason to Fight Illegal Immigration

All you multi-culturalists, take note: When your flesh starts falling off, don't say we didn't warn you of the dangers of illegal immigration from the third world:

JSCMS - Leprosy in America: new cause for concern:

Baffled, her doctor took a biopsy. And, although by now Holmes suspected something was seriously amiss, she was still shocked when the doctor told her what was wrong.

She had leprosy.

A new case of leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is diagnosed somewhere in the world every 60 seconds, but in the United States outbreaks remain rare. Only about 130 new cases are discovered each year, mostly among immigrants from areas such as Mexico, India or the Caribbean, where the disease is more widespread.

Over 100 cases were found in immigrants last year, more than double the number in 2000, and, while the number of cases is still comparatively small, some researchers believe the trend could lead to leprosy spreading to the U.S.-born population.

“It’s creeping into the U.S.,” said Dr. William Levis, head of the New York Hansen’s Disease Clinic. “This is a real phenomenon. It’s a public health threat. New York is endemic now, and nobody’s noticed.”
