Once Again, Muslims and the ACLU Just Don't Get It
Muslims sue US Homeland Security over border detentions: "NEW YORK (AFP) - Five US Muslims filed a federal lawsuit alleging violation of their rights by US border agents who detained them as they returned from an Islamic conference in Canada."
They were detained and released. What's the problem? If the Muslims don't get it - that they are under the microscope because a good number of their fellow believers are terrorist scum who are out to destroy America and the West, in general - then, well, fuck 'em. If you have done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to hide. Had they been up to no good and they got through unchecked, the outcry would be that the government is not doing its job. We can't have it both ways. It makes no more sense to treat all people as benign than it does to treat all people as guilty. THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF DETENTION!!! There were enough "flags" raised - Muslims, attending a basically "Up With Islam" pep rally...in Canada, no less - I'm sorry, but that's enough for me to pull your ass aside and ask a few questions, get you fingerprinted, and then make a determination. If it's all good, no harm, no foul, sorry for the inconvenience. If not, job well done. Either we want border security, or we don't. Again, we can't have it both ways. You must be alive to enjoy Life and Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. If you don't like it, my Islamic friends, go back to where you came from and see how you may be treated by your fellow Muslims. Then maybe you'll realize that is why you or your family came to the US in the first place. So if the Customs or Border Security folks inconvenience you for a while, thank them for doing their job instead of hamstringing them in trying to prevent another attack that you could very well be the victim of.

You got it, OCM. Look at it this way. If 9 out of 10 shark attacks were by Great Whites, does it make sense to focus on *all* sharks, or just Whites? Yes, *look* at all shrks, but *focus* on Great Whites. With Muslims it's the same thing. To deny that the *greatest likelihood* for terrorism is coming from Muslims is simply not honest.
