Good News, But Why Are They Telling Us About It?

Iraq announced plans Thursday to deploy 40,000 police and soldiers in the capital and ring the city with hundreds of checkpoints "like a bracelet"...

Great news. Why are they (the Iraqui government) telling us about it? Strategically, it is never wise to give-up the element of surprise...unless you're up to something else...or simply not too bright. I hope it's the former and not the latter.

You'll notice, too, that the story dwells ad nauseum about the Army helicopter crash. It has very little to do with this new operation about to get under way, but the good 'ol MSM just can't resist some subtle gloating, traitorous bastards that they are.
