The Doom and Gloom Media Love to Gloat

Here's the headline: US military hits ammunition shortages.

They love the quagmire scenario for our troops, but, upon closer scrutiny, this is a story about nothing. Here's how it starts (italics are mine):
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States cannot keep up with military demand for ammunition which has more than doubled since the war on terrorism and the invasion of Iraq were launched, according to a Congress watchdog report.
What report? What watchdog group? By not naming either, the story loses all credibility. Read the rest, and you'll see the story fizzle to nothing.

So why would responsible media print it? Because it attempts to make our efforts look futile, and that makes good copy, not to mention emboldens the enemy. I guess they're not very responsible...or honest.

Government owned production facilities?? I would think Winchester and Federal are up to the task of providing ammo.

Ammo from Israel, you know that has to be good stuff.

...........and another watchdog group is investigating the shortage of latrines in Iraq-----not enough bushes in the desert to substitute for latrines..................really pisses me off!

The foreign SOB that wrote the article is culturally illiterate as well. The article must have come from some Japanese or Brit Idiot, they spell "defense" with a "c" while Americans that can read and write use "s". (Then again it could have been a frozen-brain from Canada. Moreover, we Yanks say "small arms" for "small size" ammunition.

Why the "gooks" who own Yeehhooop thought they could get away with this crap is beyond me. EXCEPT!!!!

They did do a Nisan commercial about their new SUV in which they talked about "EXPLORERS." I'll bet Ford loved that idiocy.

The media, whether it be print or visual, has never ever been know as "being responsible." They are only out for blood, IMHO.

Alice, you are so right. There is a saying in "the media" that goes like this: "If it bleeds it leads."

I know this because one of the many hats I've worn was that of radio announcer at an NPR station for 3 years in the mid 80's. I was a jazz DJ, but I know what went on in the news room. Nowadays, it's only worse.
