Once Upon A Time.........
I once had a backyard where the birds twittered and they merrily skipped from branch to branch ....then along came Lumber Jack Joe, armed with a chainsaw and hatchet.......
Oh dear, I silently whimpered, have a rest Joe.......
Breathing a sigh of relief, I go out and enrich this dreary fall's day.......
Suddenly, HELLS BELLS...where is the lawn, (out of focus of this picture is a huge pile of branches, and other debris)....seems Lumber Jack Joe, is a mighty fella (feller)...the outcome: our spiritual leader's evil twin appeared ranting and raving, flipping his wig.......
What is he saying....."You scared away my birds, and should be named Tim the Tool Man Taylor, as you broke not only the hatchet but the chainsaw as well."

No, we are far removed from a fire zone.....the nashi pear tree was so huge that it was brushing against the house ...it was approximately 20ft wide by maybe 35ft or more high....and the plum tree was as big....but they had intertwined branches....so I mentioned that they needed pruning....you see the result LOL.
DR, that's what I said! LOL!!! Not to mention, as Mae said, the trees are brushing up the side of the house, blocking-up the rain gutters and blocking the sunlight which will be invaluable in helping warm the house this winter. Also, some of the dead stuff makes for great fire wood while the greener wood dries out.
