Moto GP Update

Valentino Rossi displays perfect cornering technique in qualifying on the pole for today's French GP

A note to our racing fans: The best of the best motorcycle road racers are racing Sunday May 15th (today for most of you) as the MotoGP World Championship goes to France. It should be exciting as always, with history already being made as both the Team Gauloises factory Yamaha's of defending multi-time, multi-class world champion, Valentino Rossi, and his new team mate for this year, former World Superbike champion, Colin Edwards of Texas, start on the front row, one-two:
Valentino Rossi will start the Grand Prix Alice de France tomorrow in pole position after clocking the fastest lap at Le Mans this afternoon in the qualifying practice session.

The reigning World Champion clocked a best lap time of 1´33.226 to snatch the pole position just 0.223 of a second in front of his American team-mate Colin Edwards, meaning the Gauloises Yamaha Team will occupy the first two grid positions at the start of tomorrow’s big race.

US viewers with cable can (and should!) watch it at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific on The Speed Channel. Everywhere else, check your local listings.
